The Pilis Park Forestry Company manages the forest areas surrounding Budapest. The region has a thousand-year old tradition of harmony and coexistence between man and nature. Sustainable forestry today is concerned with the preservation of natural resources, while providing healthy recreation for people. Hikers and tourists spend 20 million visitor days in the Park Forest every year. 1000 kilometres of waymarked trails, 720 kilometres of walking routes and 100 kilometers of cycle trails as well as, hundreds of forest resting places, nine forest playgrounds, 6 lookouts, dozens of scenic viewpoints and forest sports parks await those who want to relax.
